Deja Vu All Over Again
(Sunday Paper, Year VI, Issue 28)
We are down to our final guest post.
We’ve heard from all three of my daughters, and then last week we even got a piece from the dog.
I’ll be back at it next week…
In the meantime, this week it’s Kathy’s turn.
Two years ago, I wrote my guest Sunday Paper post from the hospital as I waited for my sister to have a baby. Well, guess what? Here I am typing away in the hospital as my sister has baby #2. I got the call early this morning that her water broke, so I sprang into action as her hospital support person. She’s having a boy this time, and by the time you read this, I’m sure he will be born. (Note: He was born on Friday night, and everyone is happy and healthy!)
This summer, I’ve had a bit more time on my hands than in previous years, since I just wrapped up 4.5 years of graduate school. It’s weird to no longer have something in your life that was such a big part of it before. How have I been filling my time? Well, I haven’t watched a whole lot of TV since I started school, and I have actually enjoyed that. So, not planning to watch all that much, although I’ve been watching Loki and Lego Masters with the family.
I have been doing a lot of reading, and started up my own bookstagram recently. (Feel free to follow!)
I also just re-painted and wallpapered our bathroom. That might not sound like a lot to some of you, but truth be told, I’m not that handy. And we have had the paint and wallpaper sitting around for a year. I’m glad that project is finally done!
Notes
*I’ve had a fun time making birthday cakes over this past year or so. I’ve made a unicorn cake, Citi Field, KitKat/M&M, emoji, and more. I now need to make a cake for a 2-year-old new big sister this week. Any good ideas?
*I also started baking bread during the pandemic, and would like to venture further than my go-to recipe. Any recipes to share?
*You may have heard that John is running the Boston Marathon this year for Team Framingham to raise funds for the Framingham History Center. Please support John in his run!
