2025 Week 11 To-Do

I’ve been telling you about the indoor work that needs to be done in some previous To-Do Lists…but the warmer weather has reminded me that there is outdoor work to be done as well.

I got a little start on it yesterday by trimming the bush in the back yard that you see pictured here. It’s always amazing how that thing grows back.

Nature, man.

I do my best yard work a little at a time. So I didn’t do much Saturday, but it was something. I was hoping to do more Monday, but it looks very rainy…so maybe I’ll get a little in later today.

As for what I will get done:

This Week’s To Do

  • As you read this I might be Running My First 5K of 2025. I’ll be telling you how it went later this week.

  • Friday’s a weird day - the girls have no school but I’ll have work. That night is the Annual Fantasy Baseball Draft, which we’ll be doing on a Zoom call. Always a very exciting night, whether I’ve prepared or not.

  • Saturday my middle daughter has a Dance Performance. I’ll be seeing some of my family, who are coming for the show.

This Week’s May Do

  • We bought the paint for the painting project I’ve mentioned in previous To-Do Lists. I might Begin Painting this week, especially if Monday is rainy and my writing is in OK shape. But at least when I’m ready to do it, I have the materials.

  • There’s an outside chance I’ll See My Brother on Friday. He’s in town for a show. Before I got the job I had a lot more flexibility for lunch get-togethers. I kind of forget that’s not the case anymore.

  • Similarly, I’m not home all day to Watch the NCAA Tournaments, but I’ll see if I can tune in to the afternoon and evening games Thursday and Friday before camping out in front of the TV all weekend.

Let’s see how last week shook out: (You can see what I wrote last week by clicking here.)

Last Week’s To-Do

  • The first full week of the new routine shook out pretty well, I think.

  • As much as I sometimes dread sitting through the middle school/high school performances, they are usually pretty worthwhile. This one was good…and not all that long.

  • As far as I know all birthdays were happy.

Last Week’s May-Do

  • I told you about the painting…and I will be set for a season of Mets baseball - I bought my MLB.TV.
