2025 Week 15 To-Do
Regular-size John and mini tabasco…or regular-size tabasco and GIANT JOHN?
Let’s start with a little programming note:
I was thinking about the summer training, which I often find myself thinking about, and I was thinking about how I’m going to be writing about it here.
It occurred to me that most of my long runs will take place on Saturday, and if I wrote about the week of training that just happened (which I think is better - to write about how a week of training went than just previewing a week ahead), if Sunday was blocked by the to-do list and that write-up didn’t happen until Monday…well, I feel like that’s too late, because I’m already into the next week of training.
So I decided I’m going to move the To-Do List to Saturday, because that still works as far as looking at the week ahead, and then on Sunday it will be a recap of the week of training.
I’m going to start with that next week because Saturday is the BAA 5K and we might as well kick off next week with a Sunday race recap. Obviously then we have a couple of months before the training gets underway, but I figure the change has to happen eventually, so why not now.
OK. On to what’s ahead this week;
This Week’s To Do
I already mentioned it above, but this Saturday I’ll Run the BAA 5K, so that’s exciting. I feel like a lot of the 2025 running stuff really kicks off with this race.
This afternoon I have to Pick Up My Credential and Jacket for my marathon volunteering. I’ll be telling you more about that next week.
This Week’s May Do
Well, I guess I may Continue Painting. A little at a time.
I’ll be honest, I’m falling behind with these posts. I don’t have as many ready to go as I did in the past. The music, food, and TV/movie ones are easy enough to load up and have one a week ready to go…but there’s going to increasingly be more somewhat real-time posts, like the painting ones last week. So I think I need to make things easier on myself to allow myself time for those and Get Ahead of the Game and save some drafts of some of my other posts.
And let’s check back on what happened in the week that passed. As always, you can click here to read back in more detail:
Last Week’s To Do
The weather has not been too conducive to yard work and leaf pickup. I’ll get around to it and I’ll do the drop-off myself…no reason I need to depend on the curbside pickup. I knew it would be rainy, but Yeesh Saturday’s snow was a surprise.
The women’s championship game did not turn out the way I was hoping. I totally forgot about BU hockey on Thursday…but I did catch Saturday night’s championship. (Hopefully this morning we’re celebrating a BU win but I definitely scheduled this post before the end of the game.)
Last Week’s May Do
I keep thinking about which Mets games I might try to go to but no real actions taken yet.
As you’ve hopefully read this week, the painting has begun.
