2025 Week 16 To-Do
Gotta love this marketing from the NHL -got this e-mail the day after the Rangers were eliminated from playoff contention…I’m a sucker but even I’m not buying anything now.
Before we get to what I have to do, I’ll tell you what I won’t be doing anytime soon - watching the New York Rangers in the playoffs.
Last year the Rangers had the best record in the league and made an exciting playoff run but fell short of the Stanley Cup.
And I said it then and I said it with the Mets’ run - it’s just so hard to get back to that point.
Any time a team has sustained success…that’s an accomplishment. And it’s rarely one of the teams I root for.
The Rangers, though, had a terribly disappointing season and missed the playoffs this year.
So I don’t know. Maybe I’ll watch some NHL Playoffs in the weeks ahead - it’s always entertaining.
But without a team to root for, I’ll probably just keep watching baseball.
Here’s what else I’ll be doing this week - it’s our first Saturday To-Do List!
This Week’s To Do
Marathon Monday I’m Volunteering As A Clock Watcher at the Marathon. I’m very excited to spend the day amidst the excitement. Looking forward to writing about it later this week.
I will also be taking a trip with my daughter for a Final College Visit. I’m sure some writing will come out of that too. It’s almost decision time for her.
This Week’s May Do
I’ve kind of been able to get ahead of some stuff, and other than some grading I don’t have a ton of other work weighing me down, so maybe I’ll actually be able to get some Book Writing done this week.
The ongoing Painting project continues. This week might bring an end to the first phase…but it might not because of the travel.
And let’s see how we did last week - a reminder you can click here for more details:
Last Week’s To Do
I could be running the 5K as you read this. It could have even been on this week’s To-Do list, but it kind of got caught in between. Maybe I should have put ‘Find a place to park’ on this week’s To-Do List, because that’s a big part of running this 5K.
The volunteer jacket I picked up is incredible. I hope it’s a little chilly on Monday so I get to enjoy it to the fullest.
Last Week’s May Do
I have done a pretty good job staying on top of the painting.
I did get ahead of some of these posts, and this was a good time to get more than a week ahead since I kind of forgot I’d be away most of this coming week. A little more back to normal next week.
