Crumbl Cookie Brownie Batter Cookie

I don’t have a huge sweet tooth.

I don’t crave desserts all the time.

I mean, if you put dessert in front of me I’m going to eat way too much of it because I have no self-control but that’s a separate story.

What I’m here to tell you today is that I have a particular weak spot for certain desserts, prime among them brownies and anything brownie batter-flavored.

Years ago it was a Dunkin’ Donuts brownie batter donut.

Now it might just be a brownie batter cookie from Crumbl Cookies.

You may remember last week I told you about my trip to New Balance.

If you’ve ever driven in to Boston on the Massachusetts Turnpike you’ve passed New Balance headquarters, whether you know it or not - it’s right by the relatively new Bruins and Celtics facilities along the Pike that draw the attention.

There’s a lot of new stuff back there, including a New Balance track that hosts a lot of running events, the music venue Roadrunner, and some new bars and other shops.

And it has one of the few Crumbl Cookies around here.

So since I was there I bought a six-pack of the large version of their cookies back home for the family.

Every week Crumbl releases its menu of cookies for the week. Last week there was a red velvet, a cheesecake, carrot cake, and strawberry butter cake cookie, but they all seemed a little too sweet for me and I wasn’t sure what everyone else might like.

As you can see in the picture above, I settled on the other choices - two each of an M & M cookie, chocolate chunk, and brownie batter, which I was confident would be a hit.

Before everyone was home from school I ate one brownie batter. I couldn’t help myself. (Also, I factored me eating an entire cookie into the sharing everyone else was doing. I knew I was going to eat a brownie batter cookie.)

It was delicious.

Way too sweet.

So sweet that maybe it contributed to me not feeling well on Tuesday? It’s possible but I have no way of confirming that.

It’s not good business for me to get Crumbl Cookies very often. I shouldn’t eat them but given the opportunity I will.

I’ll enjoy it in the moment and probably regret it afterwards.

But if it’s brownie batter, well, maybe I’ll regret it a little bit less.
